Monthly club with patterns and tool of the month
The From Marti and Me Club is a new programme by Marti Michell that we have been offering since March 2010.  We love the quality of Marti’s products. Her rulers and templates are easy and quick to use, achieving precise results. Are you interested in these products, but you would like to see how they are used, or do you own some rulers already and are you interested in tips to use them even better: join the club!

As a member of the club, you will receive a free pattern every month. The pattern is made with the ‘Tool of the Month’: one of the rulers or template sets by Marti Michell. Club members receive 20% discount on the ‘Tool of the Month’.  We will have fabric kits for sale for each pattern.

The patterns are exclusive for the shops that take part in the From Marti and Me Club. Club membership costs € 15 per 3 months.  You can join the club in Houten, or you can receive the club in the mail (the price is € 22 per 3 months for EU countries, or € 24 for non-EU countries, including shipping).

The club in Houten will be held on the last Saturday of the month, from 11—12 hrs. This time slot is full. We have started a new group from 14 - 15 hrs. You will receive the pattern, a demo on using the Tool of the Month to make the pattern, a  newsletter with extra tips for using the Tool of the Month and there is coffee and tea.  The next club is on Saturday 7 August. If you want a mail subscription to the club, we will send you the pattern and the newsletter. Before we send the pattern, we will inform you on the Tool of the Month and the fabric kit. We can add them to your club mailing if you want tot order them. We will send you an invoice for the extra order.

This is the fourth pattern of the Marti and Me Club. If you join the club now (unitl 7 August 2010), you will receive this pattern as the first issue of your membership. You can also buy the pattern separately.

The pattern consists of a drunkard's path block, in a bear's paw block. It is made with the Tool of the Month: the Large Drunkard's Path Template set. The triangles can be cut with template set B, which was the tool of the month in one of the earlier issues. 

The quilt on the cover of the pattern is a small wallhanging, consisting of one block with borders. There is also a pattern for a crib quilt and for a queen/double size quilt. An extra pattern with a completely different effect is on the back of the cover: Asian Roundabout (see the extra picture).

This kit contains enough fabric for the top and the binding. You only need to add fabric for the backing and the batting. The kit contains Japanese fabrics, and a basic fabric.

This is the first pattern in de From Marti and Me Club. You can also order the pattern separately here. The pattern had over 30 pages, with patterns of a table runner, a wall quilt of throw, and two bedquilt in the sizes Double and Queen. These patterns include lots of general information and tips.

This pattern can be made easily and quickly with the Diagonal Set Triangle Ruler #8105. The tempates are also in the pattern.

Like the Diagonal Set Triangle Ruler, this ruler can be used to cut the triangles you need if you want to place blocks on the point. To calculate the size you need is not easy. The good news is: You don't have to! WIth this ruler you can set blocks ranging from 2,5 till 10 inches on point and cut the matching triangles. The lines on the ruler indicate the width of the strip you have to cut the triangles form and using these lines on the ruler, you cut the triangles. Like the other templates of Marti Michell, the points are double blunt, making the triangles line up exactly with the blocks.  

Another use of this triangle is for making the Bali Breezes pattern quickly and easily

This kit contains enough ready cut bali strips and coordinating bali fabric to make the top and the backing. The strips have been cut straight of grain, parallel to the edge of the fabric, to prevent stretching.

20 strips (10 different balis) of 1,5 inch wide and 27 inch long, enough to make the Roman Stripe blocks for the table runner Bali Breezes. The strips have been cut straight of grain, parallel to the edge of the fabric, to prevent stretching.  You add your own choice of bali for the background fabric.

The pattern contains over 30 pages with patterns for two wall quilts, a throw (41 x 59 inches) and a bed quilt. These patterns include a large amount of general information and tips.
