The Crossed Canoes blosk is a variation of the Kaleidoscope block. It will have the same effect of suggesting circles as the Kaleidoscope blosk (without any curved seam), but the construction is a bit easier. The quilt on the front of the pattern is called Sailor's Delight. There are several different projects in the pattern with variations of the Crossed Canoes blosk, such as the Rocky Road to Kansas, and a table runner and a wall quilt eith the Diamond Canoes block.
The blocks are made with the small and/or the large Kaleido-rulers. Sailor's Delight can be made with either size ruler. For the projects with a block size of 12 inch, the large ruler is necessary. These rulers are the Tools of the Month.
