  • Description

The thirteenth pattern in the From Marti and Me Club.

Blocks are often sewn together with sashing strips. The reason can be that the seams between the blocks become too bulky, or the strips are used as a design element.

The Smashing Sashings pattern has projects that replace the cornerstone blocks by sashing start. The stars can be made with elongated points, or with evening star points. The points can also be combined in a star.

The stars are made with the Sashing Star Set, which is the tool of the month (until 23 April). The set can be used in three widths of sashings (2, 3 and 4 inch) and any block size.

The pattern contains many different projects. Small projects, placemats and a bag, in which you can use striking prints. And options to work some special blocks into a quilt, and ways to use special prints to make quick quilts.
