This 2 x 8 inch template helps you to cut strips for a Herringbone quilt very quickly. The pattern for this quilt is in the book Modern Quilt Magic by Victoria Findlay Wolfe. Of course, you can cut these strips (2 1/2 x 8 1/2 inch) with a regular ruler, but this Herringbone template ensures you always cut the right size.
It is also a great help to see of a scrap of fabric is large enough. The 1/4 inch sewing line on the template helps you to see which part of the fabric will be visible after sewing.
